AB Code of Conduct
1. Safety is Non-Negotiable
Always follow instructor guidance and studio safety protocols.
Only use the aerial equipment when an Aerial Beats coach has said it is safe to do so.
Do not attempt new skills or apparatus without instructor approval or supervision.
Use mats and spotting when required.
No training while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Notify your Aerial Beats Coach of any injuries, medical conditions, or recent illnesses that may affect your participation.
2. Respect for Instructors and Peers
Arrive on time and be prepared to participate.
Listen actively and avoid distracting behavior during class.
Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with kindness, patience, and professionalism.
Respect different learning speeds and levels of experience. For example, if re-learning a move in class due to others not knowing it remain humble, ask if there is a way of increasing difficulty level or adding a creative task to the move.
Give constructive feedback only when invited, and always with compassion.
We encourage feedback on what you would like to learn. If a coach determines that a student is not yet ready to attempt a particular skill, that decision must be respected. Progression is based on safety, technique, and individual readiness, and is at the discretion of the instructor.
3. Inclusivity and Anti-Discrimination
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, or exclusion based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, body type, or background will not be tolerated.Use inclusive, respectful, and professional language at all times.
Sexual innuendo, suggestive comments, or a sexualized tone of speech are inappropriate and not permitted in the studio.
Jokes or remarks that make others feel uncomfortable—whether about bodies, movement, clothing, or physical contact—are unacceptable.
Help maintain a welcoming and emotionally safe environment for all participants.
4. Body Awareness and Boundaries
Respect your own physical limits and those of others.
Consent is required before offering hands-on assistance or spotting.
Do not make unsolicited comments about others’ bodies, appearance, or abilities.
5. Studio Etiquette and Shared Space
Keep the studio tidy: return mats, props, and equipment to their proper places after use.
Due to the different heights of the aerial points, ensure that you are willing to share the equipment to allow everyone to gain best use of the space.
Only use equipment that you are trained and authorised to use.
Refrain from filming or photographing others without their explicit permission.
6. Commitment to Learning
Approach training with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to receive feedback. This includes respecting coaches class plans and coaching styles.
Practice consistently and responsibly.
Understand that progress takes time; celebrate both effort and improvement.
7. Confidentiality and Community Integrity
Respect the privacy and personal information of others.
Do not share choreography, creative content, or class material outside the studio without permission.
8. Accountability
If you witness unsafe, inappropriate, or harmful behavior, report it to a staff member or studio leader.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in a warning, suspension, or removal from classes or the studio.
